Pure Premium Meadow Hay - the basis of a good diet
For all rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas & degus
The fibre in hay is essential for dental health and proper digestion in all herbivorous pets. Top quality hay should always be the priority ingredient in your rabbit or guinea pig's diet. Chinchillas and degus also need hay as a large part of their diet.
Once you've smelled the aroma of the best quality meadow hay, you will never settle for less. Our meadow hay comes from high in the Tatra and Sudeten mountains of Southern Poland, away from towns and cities, where it is watered by mountain streams and grows at high altitude in fresh mountain air.
Our meadow hay is grown without fertilisers, pesticides or other contaminants and sun dried with good air circulation to ensure the freshness of the hay.
Grass Varieties and Herbs
What makes a healthy hay?
Timothy hay is a popular mono-culture hay which many vets recommend for it's abrasive properties which aid dental health.
The range of grasses and wild plants in mountain hay, which includes Timothy hay, provide a range of nutrients similar to those of Alpine meadow hay and , like Alpine hay, it is cut when it has a good balance of leaf and stalk giving it a high fibre content making it good for both teeth and digestion.
Fresh Water, Fresh Air
How they add to the quality of our meadow hay
Not only is the water which feeds the mountain hay meadows fresh, it is also rich in trace elements and minerals.

Mountain meadow hay is similar to Alpine hay in its nutritional value, freshness and aroma. Both mountain hay and Alpine meadow hay benefit from mineral rich soil, freedom from pollution and excellent hay growing and hay making conditions.
It is the perfect hay to use in a hay and veggie diet.
Rabbit Hay
High in fibre
Rabbits love the taste and texture of our meadow hay.
Its variety of grasses, herbs and wild plants provide plenty of foraging interest as well as valuable fibre.
Guinea Pig Hay
Soft and aromatic
Our 2nd cut meadow hay is soft enough to bury into and firm enough to hold its shape.
Guinea pigs in the wild create tunnels through the long grass where they can safely graze on the shorter grass underneath.
Chinchilla Hay
Rich in variety
Chinchillas also live at high altitude living on sparse, high fibre forage.
The climate in their natural habitat is far drier than the Tatras but, as it is a dried material, mountain meadow hay provides a rich variety of high fibre plant material.
